Yesterday afternoon the Golden State Warriors lost to the Sacramento Kings 119 to 141. In a press conference the star guard Stephen Curry announced he is seeking a trade. When asked why Curry replied with “I’m just done with losing every other game, I’m 33, in a few years my career will be over and I don’t want to be remembered for playing on a semi team.” When asked about potential landing sports he mentioned the Las Angeles Lakers, the Philadelphia 76ers, The Brooklyn Nets, or the Boston Celtics. So far no teams have reached out. Head coach Steve Kerr had this to say, “You know, he is a great player and I don’t want him to waste his career, if that means leaving Golden State, I’m ok with that. I want what’s better for him. And I wish him the best of luck.” Even though many Golden State fans are sad, I think I speak on behalf of all them when I say, thank you Stephen, and best of luck on your new team.
