After 18 years of being shelved, Nine Inch Nails and Tool’s frontmen, Trent Reznor and Maynard James Keenan bring back Tapeworm and are expected to release new material on April 8th.
Why now after so long? “Being lockdown in my house and not doing any touring for almost 4 years due to the pandemic lit a fire in my inspiration. While Atticus Ross and I were finishing up the score for Soul, Maynard gave me a call to see how he was doing while he was working on the last Pusicfer album. We talked almost for hours, and he brought up about wanting to bring back Tapeworm. I paused for almost a minute, and finally said to him that these times it may be perfect to bring it back. I let him know that I would open to doing it until I’m done with other things. As soon as I was done producing the new Halsey record, me and Maynard discussed how this was going to work and planned everything out for the next coming months in 2021. We were able to crank out so much material in 8 months last year and this year and can’t wait to bring it out to everyone now. We still have yet to announce who was involved besides me and Maynard. You’ll find out next week.”
