According to the latest update this morning in Colorado, Sinaloa Cartel leader and prison escapee Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán, who was meant to be executed tomorrow, has reportedly escaped death row after he told his son Ivan he wanted to fight the law again.
According to a Colorado spokesman, El Chapo told Ivan that he needed a big crew to help him leave death row without the guards knowing. The spokesman stated that Ivan and a few other members of the Mexican Sinaloa Cartel had dug a tunnel to Guzmán’s cell when they found out where it was situated. It was reported that when the former criminal escaped, the guards were looking the other way.
El Chapo’s whereabouts are unknown right now, though the spokesman believes that El Chapo and his crew are lying low, hiding from the police and other law enforcement.
