Oakland California native and Grammy Award winning Rapper 'Illmortal' was sentenced Tuesday for the Armed Robbery and Murder of two Oakland Teenagers, to local and national fans the news was taken unexpected as many see him as a role model, the reaction on Twitter was swift, as Illmortal was trending number 1 on the popular social media site for 10+ hours. Judge Mckinnon pledged that this will be a first in a crackdown on gang related crime in The Bay Area, after a surge in the later half of 2016. Many took the news hard as he is a beloved figure in Hip Hop, having released his first 1 Single in the Top 100 Billboard list earlier this year. Many fans in Oakland and his old neighborhood Seminary are distraught, his childhood friend Mario Dowdell saying "He was a good guy, he's been through a lot in his life but he was a hero to a lot of us here man, it's really rough". His attorney is expected to give a public statement later today.
