In an unexpected announcement ZF Friedrichshafen AG CEO, Dr. Stefan Sommer has announced his immediate resignation and retirement fro the automotive giant. In a statement released earlier today from corporate headquarters in Freidricshafen, Germany Dr. Sommer stated that "the time has come to transfer leadership and to facilitate such I hereby tender my immediate resignation." The ZF Board held an emergency meeting and announced that Micheal Bourland will take over as the Interim CEO. No further information is available at this time.
