At 12:00 am October 30th, 19 year old, Chris H. Neighbors was unfortunately gunned down 7 times walking home from work. According to witnesses, the altercation began when Mr. Neighbors was passing the Marquette apartments on Grand Boulevard. Chris was passing by and at the time there was a group of people crowded around at night at the gas station across the street. Out of curiosity, Chris went over to see what was happening and he saw that there were a couple of older gentlemen ‘foot-working’ for Newports. After profusely laughing, Chris began to as they say in the surrounding neighborhoods, ‘Throw Jokes’ at the men dancing for cigarettes. Then unfortunately after a couple of personal retorts Chris met his demise.
