The family of a 18-year-old man killed in a horrific crash in Scarborough on Sunday morning have gathered at the scene to mourn their loss. Dylan Flood was driving with his friend, 19, along Scarborough Beach Road in Scarborough around 1.30AM Sunday when his car veered off the road and struck a tree. Dylan Flood, 18, is being remembered for his "cheeky nature". His mother rushed from Newcastle to her son's side, but he had already died. The 18-year-old male driver sustained critical injuries and was taken by ambulance to hospital. Multiple Witnesses confirm he was in a critical condition with a broken neck, cuts all over his body and a compound fractured wrist. Witness “Harlem Tipioka” claims he called 000 then noticed he’s face and threw up “multiple times” after seeing one of the 18 year olds eyes out of its socket. However, he died later that night in Royal hospital with his father by his side. The sole passenger, a 19-year-old male, sustained serious leg injuries and was also taken to hospital.
