As of Monday 7th November Lidl supermarket will have a so called 'Freedom Hour' every Monday until 24 December 2016. Between 1-2pm any customer on means tested benefits will be given a 'One Off' £50.00 voucher to spend in store!

A Lidl spokesperson has said, ''we believe in caring for our customers, especially those on low incomes and the unemployed''! The 'Freedom Hour' voucher scheme will run until 24 December 2016 and is open only to those with proof of income below £16,000 per annum or have a letter from the DWP stating they are in receipt of JSA, DLA, PIP, ESA..

Customers are advised to take this proof with them on the specific days e.g. Monday. It will only be a 'One Off Voucher'. That can only be spent in Lidl.
