Local teen Shane Showman was convicted of 1st degree murder on March 11, 2017. He pleaded guilty to the murder of 24 year old Kurt Pyeritz. Shane admitted to intentionally killing Pyeritz by shooting him in the back of the head his direct words were "I watched the pussy die" Shane is now serving life in Fayette County prison with parole in 25 years.
