Under pressure from his advisors president Donald Trump announced Saturday that he will be resigning the presidency of the United States in order to preserve the integrity of the office. "I believe the scrutiny of the investigators assigned to the whole Russia thing will ultimately end up revealing a truth that could be damaging to the office. We did not collude with Putin but we do believe they likely influenced the election. I believe those are two distinct issues. It would be difficult to prove that we didn't work with them, and it's best to just resign at this point." Said the president. He went on to say, "I believe I would have made a fantastic president, but winning like this is not right."
