On October 23rd , 2017 a meeting was held between DNR and the EPA to resolve issues both have with hunting regulations .Due to recent negotiations with DNR and EPA officials on hunting regulations the season has been cut short this year as of October 24th, 2017 at 4:05 pm . According to the sources close to the meeting the two agencies could not come to terms on certain issues. When asked to shed some light on said issues both agencies denied questioning. It looks like the only loser in this battle of two mega agencies are the men and women that want to hunt for sport or to feed their family ! Another meeting is to set in late November but as far as we can tell it does not look promising that they will be any closer to a solution to the issues at hand .
