Very few Paul Reed Smith (SE) Nick Catanese solid body "Evil Twin" desing guitars were made, and even fewer of them show up on the auction market. Often snapped up in private sales by collectors and players alike, these guitars are admired for their stunning design and brilliant tone. This week, however, an Evil Twin will be auctioned off to benefit the Douglaston Little Neck Historical Society at their annual gala on Saturday, February 10, 2018. The gala, dubbed "Baby It's Cold Outside," is a "Valentine's Soiree" themed event and tickets cost $250. The minimum bid for the Evil Twin is expected to be in the $ 500 dollar range, but it would be no surprise, particularly given the charitable (and tax deductible) nature of the auction, to see it go for much more.
