Sheila Walton of Gildersome, Leeds, became a viral sensation on the social media site Facebook, in January 2013, after a prank video published by her Grandson, Joe Walton, earnt over 60 million views, becoming at the time, one of the most watched videos on the social network. The video was later published onto YouTube, where it was viewed more than 40 million times. More videos were to follow by popular demand, with the collection earning around 120 million views on Facebook altogether. The duo monitized the videos and earnt money from ads, with income estimated at £651,000, according to accounts filed through their company, Prank Endurement LLP. The company has now closed, with the Grandmother paying herself an estimated £650K. The videos have since been removed from YouTube and Facebook, but are available on other media sites.
