On August 13, 2020 Dr. Phibbs, a 46 year old professor at West Kentucky Community and Technical College was caught having inappropriate relations with 19 year old student Ellie Chambers from Paducah, Kentucky. An internal affairs investigation has been launched to investigate further into this relationship. A WKCTC representative says Chambers was a student of Phibbs last year and that the college will punish and handle this problem very seriously.
