Today we will be going over what Minnesota will need to do in order to be a successful team in 2021. We will be going over possible trade ideas and certain players such as Kirk Cousins, Anthony Harris and Dan bailey. Many Things could happen during this Off-Season but we will be explaining some major things that should happen.

First we will be talking about Kirk Cousins who arguably had an amazing season. First lets take a look at the number he produced this year compared to last year. Cousins had almost 10 more passing touchdowns in 2020 then 2019 and 600+ more passing yards this year. Although he did double his amount of interceptions I can explain why. In 2019 Cousins was sacked a total of 28 times and 39 in 2020. Our O-line has had a terrible time this year trying to block. If Kirk wouldn't have escaped sacks as many times as he did then then the total would have been around 50. In 2019 our O-line gave Cousins time in the pocket and that's why he didn't throw as many picks. This year the O-line offered no time for Cousins to get rid of the ball resulting in a bad throw that was picked. Kirk definitely was not the problem this year because we had the best red zone TD percentage in the NFL. So we have come to the conclusion that Cousins was not our problem.

Next we can talk about Anthony Harris who will almost for sure be gone by the start of the 2021 season. Harris produced 6 interceptions and 60 tackles in 2019 producing his best year so far and the numbers we expected him to put up in 2020 were not there. Harris had no picks in 2020 and he did almost double his total amount of tackles at 104 in 2020. Harris will be almost guaranteed to leave for free agency this off-season but that is probably not the right decision. I am not saying we should keep him but in fact trade him for draft value or other defensive players. We can not go into the 2021 with almost the same defensive we had this year (which was embarrassing). Instead we need to build some depth at some positions such as Corner back on which we were very short handed this year. Harris leaving will give us $11 Million in cap room and give us much more space to pick up some depth.

Another player we can talk about is Dan Bailey who had the worst year of his career going 15 for 22 on field goals and a few extra point misses. Bailey would really need to put in some work this off-season if he even hopes to stay on the vikings. Bailey's embarrassing show this year lost us at least 3 games being the Tampa Bay game, the Titans game, and most likely the Cowboys game. He also almost lost us the Panthers, and the Jaguars game. Bailey leaving though would just make matters worse leaving us with Taylor Bertolet who has only kicked in a Pre-season game and in college had a 69 field goal percentage. As we know of the history of vikings kickers its not even worth it to sign a kicker and instead just go for the 2 point or go for it on fourth down.

Probably the biggest improvement Minnesota needs to make is Their O-line and Defense. The Minnesota Defense this year was absolutely the worst defense we have ever had. Although our defense didn't look to bad in the second half of the season it was still bad. The main reason our defense was terrible was the fact that almost every one our defense had less then 3 years of experience. Now to get to the O-line. Our offensive was a total meltdown and although it could have been worse it was still terrible. Our O-line let up 39 sacks this year which wasn't the worst but pretty darn close. It wasn't as bad as the eagles offensive line who let up an unbelievable amount of sacks. This off-season we need to find more options on the O-line and drafting them is not always the right decision.

Possible trade ideas. Danielle hunter plus some draft picks for Deshaun Watson. Kirk Cousins in a Trade to go to the 49ers and Jimmy Garoppolo to the Vikings. Anthony Harris for draft picks to help out the Vikings secondary. Dan bailey for another kicker.

Here are some players that are going to be available because they will be over ruled in the draft. Gardner Minshew, Sam Darnold, Cam Newton, and Teddy Bridgewater. These players could serve as a good backup in Minnesota considering we have Sean Mannion.
