Tornado Warning has been issued for Shelby County, DeSoto Count and Tunica County until 8:20 p.m. Southaven, Germantown and Olive Branch are all directly in the line of this storm. This storm is producing winds up to 70 mph.
A large tornado was reported to be seen 7 miles west of Hernando moving northeast at 45 mph. This storm was also producing hail from a half-inch to .75-inch. That's about the size of a golf ball.
A large and extremely dangerous tornado was previously confirmed on the ground in North Tunica at the St. Francis National Park around 7:30 p.m. The storm was moving east at 55 mph.
Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves tweeted about a confirmed tornado on the ground heading toward Tunica and DeSoto County. If you are in the area, please seek shelter immediately.
