On Tuesday, October 25th, a random locker search took place at Sandy Valley high school. It was found that many students were bringing inappropriate substances to school. (cigarettes, lighters, "vapes," etc.) In one of the lockers, there was a small "safe." The key to the safe was found inside of the student's bookbag. Due to the school's right to search lockers, the safe was opened & inside of it were small, individual bags containing marijuana. The student has been suspended from school & will have an expulsion hearing with the school's superintendent, David Fisher, following the student's suspension. Due to the parents' request, the students' identity will remain confidential.
