Marysville Diner in Perry County, PA sold a winning lottery ticket to one of it's employees. A waitress, who has not yet been identified, confirmed that the ticket was purchased in the lobby of the Diner at the lottery machine. The employee plans to continue working, just not as many hours, including "doubles", as there has been a continued need for 2nd shift servers.

We spoke with head manager Sam Halabi, who stated that he was in the process of reviewing video footage to see if the ticket was purchased while the employee was on the clock. Buying a lottery ticket while on the clock would be against policy according to the manager. Halabi stated that if this were the case, the employee would be terminated immediately. Although he did add that it probably wouldn't make a difference due to the winning ticket holding a prize value of $1million.

Co-owner James O'Donnell is happy for the recipient, and thrilled that the ticket was located in his machine. Due to the winning ticket being purchased at his restaurant, he will also receive an undisclosed amount from the Pennsylvania Lottery.
He was smirking as he informed us he did hint around to the waitress that he'd like to travel to Dallas this football season to catch a game. (Apparently they are both Dallas Cowboy fans.) Jury is out if he's a football fan, or looking to meet those Cowgirls! Maybe he will be surprised and Christmas will come early this year.
