To many students surprise, the iconic University of Kentucky squirrels are beginning to take over the campus. Starting in early October, students started noticing squirrels making random appearances in the library. In the media depot, on the bathroom sink, even ordering at the Starbucks, which is located in the library. University President Eli Capilouto has issued a statement, "Campus Animal Control has made multiple trips to the William T. Young library, however, the pests continue to find a way into the building. If these incidents continue, a temporary closing of the library may be enforced".
