With the election in NSW and Victoria coming up in 2023 both Premiers are potentially on the brink of starting postcode lockdowns in an attempt to curve the spread of Omicron which is not letting up in the states. This is putting massive pressure on other Capital cities and even the international border as sources at Parliament house are starting to worry the international border is next.
This would cause chaos for over a million Australians overseas with fears a complete lockout for at least two months could freeze travel and leave hundreds of thousands of Australians stranded overseas.
Sources at the office of the Prime Minster have been loose in recent days but there is a certain concern that if cases and deaths are not under control within a week we will see the announcements everyone in Australia has been dreading.
With major cities in China, including Shanghai, with a population of 25million managing north/south and east/west rolling lockdowns, the vision of an end of the pandemic in 2022 may be all but over. However, given its the first day of the month some are not taking it as seriously.
