Carlos Alcaraz's Miami Open defense hopes were cut short Friday night as he was beaten 6-7 (5), 6-4, 6-2 by Italy's Jannik Sinner in the semifinals.
The defeat will end Alcaraz's reign atop the world rankings, with Novak Djokovic set to take over as World No. 1 on Monday.

And it's not only thing that ends for Carlos. Carlos Alcaraz took extensive toilet break during the match after he lost the second set.
The rule allows to have 3 + 2 minutes of TB while young lad was sitting there for over 9 mins which also was probably the cause of his cramps during the beginning of third set.
To prevent this kind of consequences on young players, as a role example, ATP has decided to ban Carlos for life from using toilets during ATP singles matches. He's allowed to use toilet during doubles matches though under condition he'll be accompanied by his doubles partner.
We tried to reach out for Carlos to give a statement but his coach Juan Carlos Ferrero informed us Alcaraz is currently not available once he is using bathroom.
