Steven Wood aka "the real life Daffyd Thomas" has explained how happy he was to find out there was more than one gay in his village.
Mr Wood commented, "I was shopping in Tesco for olive oil and large bananas as I was convinced I was definitely the only gay in the village, I stopped to chat to a nice old man about how we were standing in the biggest Tesco in Europe and the conversation quickly turned to how lonely I was just riding oily bananas at home. As I looked down into his basket I saw that he had the most perfect firm banana I'd ever seen and a huge tub of lurpak butter, as we giggled together I knew that we wouldn't be getting raped by exotic fruits alone anymore and it was the best feeling in the world"
He went on to tell us "Norman really knows what he's doing in the bedroom and I can now swallow a whole fruit bowl in by secret pocket, the only downside is the odd kiwi falls out when I'm walking"
Steven who works as a door to door sales agent is due to wed Norman (82) next month
