An Atlanta resident reportedly consumed an entire trombone after a dare by friends visiting from Oakland, CA. Jim Lee, an accomplished local musician, was carrying his trombone through Hartsfield airport when he met some old neighborhood friends. A lively conversation ensued, resulting in Mr. Lee’s consumption of the instrument. When asked why he did such an unusual act, Mr. Lee said “The group from Oakland, um, encouraged me to eat the instrument. There is nothing like the feel of cold steel pressed against your head to motivate you. That, and the broken ribs during the beating made the task a snap.”
Mr. Lee does not plan to consume any other instruments and noted he does not plan any trips back to the old neighborhood.
