A COVID-19 vaccine has recently been discovered in Germany and is being used across Germany, hence why the active cases are extremely low at 5,975. The state still highly infected is Bavaria, which is at 2,518 cases, and is being handled properly. The vaccine has been seen effective in Denmark, Czech Republic, and other countries surrounding Germany and has been working really well. As the United States struggles with more than 70,000 cases a day, the vaccine has been used in many Democrat states such as New York and California, with many recoveries. States like Florida and Arizona, both Republican states, which were the last ones to close and the first ones to reopen, have seen the number in active cases surge, with them being anti-vaxx and anti-lockdown states. Many of these protests were unmasked, so this was also another factor. Arizona governor, Doug Ducey (R) and Florida governor, Ron DeSantis (R) have no plans to close down their states. California governor, Gavin Newsom (D) wants his state closed for two more weeks, then is reopening little by little every week, so that the 2020-2021 school year will go back to normal. New York governor, Andrew Cuomo (D) has reopened, but with mask policies and unmasked people will face at least a $10,000 fine. Arizona has more than 100,000 active cases and Florida has more than 200,000. California has flattened the curve and so has New York and other Democratic states. However, travel within states will be banned to curve the spread of the virus. Georgia is on the edge too as its governor, Brian Kemp (R), has completely reopened and has no intention of closing its beaches. Many European countries are opening subdivision borders, but only a few countries are reopening their EU borders. Germany is opening its borders, and so is Italy, Poland, and Austria, where social distancing is required and so are masks, which can lead to a fine if not worn in public. Spain is scheduled to reopen its borders July 25, the Netherlands on July 30, and Sweden on August 3. Countries like India, Russia, and Brazil are now struggling with Covid-19 with each of them having over 300,000 active cases. Brazilian president, Jair Bolsonaro has recently tested for the virus and doesn't plan on closing its country. Russian president, Vladimir Putin, is considering Russia's borders stay close and India's opened or closed by state. Maharastra is the epicenter with about 20 of active cases being there. Most Northeastern Indian states have reopened, but travelling within states is still banned. In China, a resurgence of cases is back up, in the northeastern provinces of Heilongjiang, Jilin, and Liaoning, and in its capital Beijing. Chinese president, Xi Jinping has ordered lockdown in those four regions and only some provinces have reopened its borders, but international flights are still not available. Many Southeast Asian countries are now freely opening its borders, except for the Philippines and Indonesia, which has closed. Latin American countries are still closed, especially in Colombia, Argentina, and Mexico, where cases are on the rise, mostly imported from Brazil. Colombian president Ivan Duque Martinez has closed off his border and is mandatory quarantining its citizens and violating curfew laws can get you a fine. Japanese borders have opened with South Korea and most other Southeast Asian countriesas they are seeing a flattened curve. Masks are mandatory in each of those countries. In Iran, there has been a resurgence of active cases and the epicenter is believed to have been a school. Schools are now enforcing safe distancing rules with the requirement of face masks.
