Due to political uproar and faulty manageability of wildlife, The State of Louisiana has procured the decision to ban bass fishing for the year of 2021. This decision is in hopes of assisting the bass population to replentify and build a strong and healthy habitat.
Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries has issued a statement explaining that any one caught bass fishing during this ban will result in confiscation of any and all equipment used in illegal activity as well as the possibility of a $1,000 dollar fine for the first offense and up to $10,000 dollars for the second and subsequent offenses.
The Governor, John Bell Edwards has stated that he feels this is the best move for Louisiana.
