Local Chef to Re-open Dana's Pub

Local Chef Duane Repasy has purchased the old Dana's Restaurant and Pub on route 196 in Tobyhanna and hopes to open for business by mid-summer. In speaking with Chef Duane he said " It's been sitting there for way to long and the local residents deserve to have a nice place to dine and enjoy drinks." When asked about the atmosphere and food he had this to say. "People in this area love variety, the plan is to build off a basic Italian menu and have different themes daily and weekly for specials. We are looking to have a full service bar and at some point have a deck which will include live entertainment." The restaurant formerly known as Dana's Restaurant and Tavern has been closed since October of 2012 when it was gutted by fire. The owner at the time was found guilty of hiring somebody to burn down the building. Chef Duane also said that it will bring approximately 20 new jobs to the area.
