This iconic roller coaster has been permanently closed due to significant damaged caused by Hurricane Irma. Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith is an enclosed launched steel roller coaster. The Florida attraction opened on July 29, 1999 and is located at the end of Sunset Boulevard. Bob Iger the chairman and chief executive officer of The Walt Disney Company has stated that that Disney World is looking into replacing it with a new ride based on a favorite cartoon of his childhood. The ride will be based on the trials and tribulations of "Susie Snowflake" and will have a winter theme. Bob has promised more information will be released in the near future.
