This week Califonia has classified used kitty litter as a class 1 hazoudus waste. Other states are also looking to follow their lead. What this now means for the cat owners is they now have to purchase a hazardous generating permit. In California the cost is $700-$800 a year. Also disposable fees to rid themselves of the waste.
