RPL Commissioner Implementing "Dramatic" Changes

RPL Commissioner Rob Mercado is shaking things up. On Sunday, August 6th, he gave the following statement: "In an effort to improve the quality of the game I've instituted major changes". Here is a summary of the Commissioner's changes:
1) Keeper-2 league with draft picks from the 2017 - 2018 season carrying-over to the 2018 - 2019 season as keepers.
2) For this season (2017 - 2018), the draft order lottery will be weighted based on finishing order from the previous season. The draft for the 2017 - 2018 season will be a snake draft. For the 2018 - 2019 season, and following seasons, the draft will be a straight "linear" draft, and the draft order will be fixed for the top 4 finishing spots (champion picks at 10, 2nd place picks at 9, 3rd place picks at 8, and 4th place picks at 7) and weighted based on finishing order for the remaining (highest weight going to the 10th place).
3) Lastly, the owner with the biggest beatdown must post the RPL weekly newsletter on facebook no later than the following Wednesday. Failure to do so will result in a $5 penalty which will be awarded to the weekly high winner for that week.
