The Yankees announced the completion of a trade for former closer David Robertson and third baseman Todd Frazier. The White Sox will receive Chance Adams, Mason Williams, Jorge Mateo and Justus Sheffield.
Brian Cashman in announcing the deal, "We know what we're getting in David Robertson and he is playoff tested. Houdini. With Frazier we are looking to move him into the third base position, move Headley to short stop, move Gregorius to second base, Castro to center field and Elsbury to first base."
