Earlier this morning the St. Louis Blues have reportedly Traded all star winger Vladimir Tarasenko and center Paul Statsny to the Detroit Red Wings Im exchange for Aging Defenceman Jonathan Ericsson, Justin Abdelkader, and a 2019 second round pick. Doug Armstrong stated that Tarasenko’s attitude had been a distraction on and off the ice as the All star has been disgruntled following the all star Break. “We fell that Vlad has done his time here in St. Louis and we appreciate his time here but hockey is a business and we feel the time was now” Armstrong stated. The Blues are still optimistic about their chances to make the playoffs, but only time will tell with these drastic moves made by St. Louis
