(APU - Davis, WV) The WV DNR is investigating reports of "sex parties" taking place at a WV State Park over the past weekend. Several park visitors alerted park officials after seeing a group of nude people congregating in the woods near Pendleton Lake at Blackwater State Park late Saturday night. The offenders had apparently disappeared into the woods by the time park officials arrived.
On Sunday afternoon a Hurricane WV family was hiking on one of the trails leading down to the falls from the highway when they stumbled across a group of people having sex. "I just threw a towel over my daughter's head and turned her away as quickly as I could", said Mike Hunt. "I've never seen anything like it before." Hunt described a terrifying scene where participants were dressed in animal costumes and making animal noises while they were "doing it". "I got my wife and kids back to the car as quickly as possible and then went back to the spot to see if I could identify any of them". Hunt said he searched the woods in the area for about an hour but was able to find no trace at all of the perpetrators. "It was amazing. I don't know where they all went so fast." Hunt said.
Officials at the WVDNR offices in Charleston released a statement saying they are investigating a Personals listing on Craigslist appearing to soliciting participants for group sex in the Davis WV area but say they have no further information at this time.
